Just got the new book from Studio on Fire in the mail! It’s beautiful and filled with amazing letterpress work from their amazing print studio. The book’s cover is letterpressed, too. There are some designs by Studio on Fire and also some projects that they’ve printed for other people. My split fountain wedding invitation for Mariko and Mark is also in the book! I had a lot of fun over the weekend pulling together a handmade font for the alphabet contest at Design*Sponge! I’ve got two versions of Dream Catcher - fills and outlines. Can’t wait to see the submissions!

It’s been extra busy the last couple months. In the midst of my senior thesis, I made wedding invitations for Mariko + Mark. I am so excited to show them to you! These photographs were just sent to me from Ben of Studio on Fire. I haven’t had time to photograph them myself - thanks Ben!
The couple asked me to create something for them with the theme of “LEDs and orchids” - an amazing prompt to work with. This design is inspired by those things.
I drew some funky flowers for their Austin wedding. The Save the Date has some hand-drawn typography as well.
The Wedding Invitation comes packed in a translucent chartreuse envelope so you can see the gradient floral invitation cover inside. The invitation, map, and RSVP card are tucked in there.
Mariko and Mark’s wedding is going to be colorful and fun, so when I designed these invitations I used a split-fountain technique - where more than one ink is placed on the roller and creates a gradient.
