Just got the new book from Studio on Fire in the mail! It’s beautiful and filled with amazing letterpress work from their amazing print studio. The book’s cover is letterpressed, too. There are some designs by Studio on Fire and also some projects that they’ve printed for other people. My split fountain wedding invitation for Mariko and Mark is also in the book! You can see...

We’ve traversed the country – and even drove a little further than the country is wide. We started in Massachusetts, stopped at Niagara Falls, Chicago, Badlands (South Dakota), Seattle, and Portland. Now we are settled, finally, in San Francisco. I love it here.

Inspiration: Hanna Sandin
•
I’m head over heels for Hanna Sandin, a 28-year-old Brooklyn based artist and graduate of Rhode Island School of Design (2003). Before we moved out of our Bolton Hill apartment in Baltimore, I took some photographs, I’m going to start by sharing the Studio.
I think I may miss this room the most! Above is my sunny studio desk. As I look now, I put up a lot of red things. Funny fake fireplace and mantel. I can’t wait to build nice shelves for Willem’s toy collection in our new home (I’ll have to...

book inspiration: Feel like a Ghost, $9 by Anna Peaker
I also couldn’t resist this awesome print (trading card screen print un-cut sheet), by recent MICA grad Noel Freibert. Noel is also part of Closed Caption Comics. The group had a bunch of great zines for sale.

Book Inspiration: Rainbow Flipbook by Masashi Kawamura.
I played with this book in the ADC show in NYC almost two years ago. That was the day I skipped school and got on a bus heading for New York. I’m hardly the type to play hookie, but I’m so glad I did.
This book was a huge inspiration to me. It was simple and beautiful. It had no text explanation to read. It just...
